Starting a Pure Electric Vehicle

Jul 06, 2025

1. When starting, first fasten your seatbelt.

2. Press the brake pedal firmly and release the parking brake with your right hand.

3. Press the engine start button until the light on the button turns green and the "Ready" sign appears on the instrument panel. Note that not all cars have this "Ready" sign.

4. After checking for people around the car, shift the gear from [speed] to [D], turn on the left turn signal, and slowly release the brake with your right foot. The car will begin to move slowly. Once you reach the main road, turn off the turn signal and press the accelerator with your right foot to start driving.

The gear position in an electric car is shaped like a cap, and the gears are shifted by turning. Generally, there are four gears: R, N, D, and S. Smaller cars may have three gears: R, N, and D, which means they lack a Sport gear.
