Used cars do have warranties. Actually, used cars do have warranties, but unlike new cars, not every used car is covered. Warranty coverage for used cars includes the engine, engine electronics, fuel supply system, transmission, driving system, and braking system.
Compared to the used car market abroad, warranty coverage in my country is extremely low. Data shows that the warranty coverage rate for used cars in the United States is as high as 60%. A one-year and 25,000-kilometer warranty is required to close a deal. Dealers who don't offer a warranty are not allowed to operate used car businesses, and used cars without a warranty are not allowed on the road. Currently, the warranty penetration rate for used cars in my country is less than 1%, and consumer awareness of used car warranties is almost zero.
A used car warranty refers to a conditional, limited, and limited quality guarantee offered at the time of sale. Dealers conscientiously fulfill their responsibilities and obligations under this warranty. Therefore, quality assurance is an integral part of the used car transaction!
Used car warranty coverage:
1. Engine: This includes the cylinder block and cylinder head, pistons, piston rings, connecting rods, crankshaft, flywheel, and oil pump.
2. Engine electrical components: including the starter, alternator, voltage regulator, ignition system, etc.
3. Fuel system: including the air flow meter, fuel pump, fuel gauge sensor, injectors, fuel tank, fuel lines, and oil pressure regulator.
4. Transmission system: including the torque converter, oil pan, etc.
5. Braking system: including the master brake cylinder, brake cylinder calipers, etc.
